Stories from Bank of Ireland UK

Catherine Moynihan

Head of Post Office Product Management, Savings UK

What does a day in Bank of Ireland look like?

A day for me includes liaising with my counterparts in the Post Office to ensure we collectively deliver our objectives on plan. So I could be implementing our agenda to help change Post Office Savings.

All the while I’m meeting with my team to review progress for our plans for channel, product and change delivery.

What's the best thing about your job?

The best part of my job is the variety. One minute I’m working on a pricing proposal, the next on insights into savings to help understand our customer needs.

What challenges you in your job?

After just 10 weeks in the role the most challenging aspect for me so far has been moving to the UK and understanding the intricacies of the UK market. This has allowed me to develop a deeper knowledge of the Savings Business in BOI.

What gets you up in the morning?

Each day I look forward to the next challenge. We have a big ambition within the UK Savings team to deliver improvements across many key areas. These include enhancing our customer’s overall journey, channel optimisation, proposition development all through a balanced approach to balanced growth. All this is made better by working with such a great team.
