Our IT function underpins the strategic direction of the Bank by ensuring that our IT capability and landscape continues to assist in delivering superior customer experiences. Technology Services is responsible for supporting, managing and optimising the existing technology services and estate to run the business and to support both current and future demand.
The Infrastructure Operations team within Technology Services manages the IT Infrastructure of the Group with our service providers. This team looks after the full lifecycle of service, from initial technical design reviews and project initiation to introducing new or transformed services, as well as ongoing service delivery, infrastructure maintenance, and refresh. Security, Risk and Audit reviews are also part of the work of this function. Bank of Ireland uses ITIL as our acknowledged framework to manage the IT provisioning for the business.
The team is growing in response to introduction of Service Integration and Management as a retained layer within the bank, changes across the IT infrastructure to increase IT Service Continuity Management capability and to meet the demand that exists globally to address security risk.
