Retirement claims are an integral part of the customer journey, we look after the retirement needs of our customers and guide them safely through the retirement process from pre-retirement to post-retirement. Supporting customers through the Retirement Journey is an increasingly important and competitive segment in which we want to deliver a market leading service. As New Ireland is heavily investing in transformation of our processes and services, this role presents the opportunity to strongly assist with the delivery of Retirement Services to a growing volume of customers.

Purpose of the Role

The ARF Administrator will support the team leader and team in looking after our customers as they journey into a new life stage of Retirement. This may include vetting documentation, new business processing and day-to-day ongoing servicing of the ARF policies. Also, they may engage directly with financial advisors/customers via phone/email as we process their work requests.

Key Accountabilities

All responsibilities of an ARF Administrator:

  • New Business onboarding of ARF policies that comes internally from Retirement Claims and externally from other Life Offices

  • Servicing ARF policies on our systems - top-ups, switches, creating incomes, processing surrenders

  • Delivering excellent service to distribution channels

  • Develop/maintain strong relationships with financial advisors

  • Ensuring tasks are completed within time scales that meet our customers' expectations

  • Ability to work under pressure especially coming up to year end

  • Dealing with customer queries efficiently both over the phone and in writing

Essential Qualifications

  • Third Level Honours Degree, full QFA and/or RPA or working towards a QFA or RPA

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Team player with the ability to take full ownership of work and responsibility for performance

  • Excellent customer focus with an understanding of customer needs

  • Highly organised with the ability to resolve queries and make decisions

  • Pensions Experience across some products

Desirable Qualifications, Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience with Retirement Claims and/or Post Retirement Products

  • QFA or RPA qualified

  • Strong interpersonal skills, written and verbal

  • L400 experience
