Robotics - Business Analyst

Digital Operations is responsible for managing and developing on the technical operations infrastructure which supports both manual and robotic banking operations processing for Bank of Ireland Group. This infrastructure is built on a number of core components - Blue Prism RPA, SQL Server, HCL Toscana Workflow (T1 & T2), C #Data Bridge code, Amazon Web Services, EngageHub SMS platform and Tableau analytics.

The opportunity:

The Business Analyst will be required to work on both the run and change side of digital operations. On the run side this will include analysis and reporting of run environment day to day and issues management. It will also involve vendor setup and governance. On the change side the role will involve analysis of business process to assess suitability for automation followed by production of solution design documents to support automation of business processes.

Location: This role is based in the Ops Centre in Cabinteely.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analysis of Business Processes for automation
  • Production of Solution Design Documents as inputs into Robotics development
  • Production of Test plans and execution of automation test cases
  • Engagement with Business SMEs and Process owners in analysis and run time
  • Production of reports on run time processes
  • Setting up vendor governance with small number of key vendors
  • Managing vendor governance and engagements
  • Production of change and run reports as required

Essential Requirements:


  • Experience of robotics process automation
  • Experience of vendor governance and management
  • Experience of producing reports in power point, excel and ms access
  • Experience in an IT Service or Operations environment
  • Experience with workflow and other digital tools and technologies


  • Strong communication skills - verbal and written
  • Strong stakeholder management skills
  • Strong documentation skills
  • MS Office - powerpoint, excel and word


  • Leaving certificate - minimum of 5 passes (grade D or above) at Ordinary Level, which must includeEnglish and Maths, or equivalent or superseding qualification

Desirable Requirements:

  • 3rd level degree in a relevant discipline
