Division Description

Led by the recently appointed Chief Marketing Officer, we are creating Group Marketing function which will develop a strong brand for Bank of Ireland, shaping and delivering a differentiated position for the Bank in the markets in which we operate. This will enable us to shape and deliver on our purpose to enable customers, colleagues and communities to thrive and to build the National Champion Bank in Ireland. Description of business unit

This will enable us to shape and deliver on our purpose to enable customers, colleagues and communities to thrive and to build the National Champion Bank in Ireland.

Purpose of the Role

To lead and deliver Issue Management, Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) support andControl Test agenda across the Group marketing function. Also, to delivercontinuous improvement in RCSA and Issue Management outcomes.

Key Accountabilities

  • Own the delivery of Business controls testing within Group Marketing as required by the Group's Business Controls Framework.
  • Support business owners in the execution of their control framework accountabilities.
  • Advise business management on formulation of robust coordinated actions to remediate issues/control deficiencies identified during testing. Track and coordinate the design and implementation of remedial action plans for any identified risks.
  • Co-ordinate and manage the calendar of interactions between Group Marketing and relevant Group functions for business controls effectiveness testing.
  • Positively influence the efficiency / effectiveness of the company's risk management and commercial objectives

Essential Qualifications

Relevant academic qualifications (level 8 degree or higher) an advantage

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Strong track record and experience in internal controls, risk management practice and processes
  • Evidence of ability to be decisive and to challenge constructively while maintaining effective relationships
  • Evidence of ability to deliver solutions at pace for the business
  • Evidence of ability to prepare insightful risk MI/dash boards to enable business risk owners and management monitor and take remedial actions where appropriate

Desirable Qualifications, Skills & Experience

Up to date knowledge of regulatory and industry good practice requirements for risk management in the financial services sector
