Division Description

Led by the recently appointed Chief Marketing Officer, we are creating Group Marketing function which will develop a strong brand for Bank of Ireland, shaping and delivering a differentiated position for the Bank in the markets in which we operate. This will enable us to shape and deliver on our purpose to enable customers, colleagues and communities to thrive and to build the National Champion Bank in Ireland. The Group Marketing function will be underpinned by the following strategic imperatives designed to transform the Bank of Ireland brand: Customer planning across business under one group brand strategy and agreed brand pillar priorities, Deep brand & customer insight, Consistent & compelling customer communication across all touchpoints, Data driven marketing, Customer experience insight & innovation design, Integrated Technology transformation, Robust Marketing spend effectiveness & governance.

This role technically executes all campaigns across Branch, Outbound, Email, SMS, Push.

Purpose of the Role

The successful candidate will work closely with the Senior Campaign Execution Team Manager to develop and execute the customer leads and direct marketing plan and Campaign Execution

Key Accountabilities

  • Support the planning, development and execution of new direct marketing/customer lead campaigns
  • Deliver direct marketing campaigns using a campaign management tool through flowcharts, macros, functions and derived variables
  • Support the Senior Campaign Execution Manager with project activities that arise
  • Support the move to a new Campaign platform and other new technologies
  • Analyse, design, build and test flowcharts for contact history and response history
  • Collaborate with the Base Planning team to ensure the effectiveness of Campaigns
  • Support the execution of existing recurring Campaigns
  • Upload and execute email and sms campaigns in the current email/sms application
  • Ensure all business activity is delivered compliantly and in line with all relevant regulatory and legal requirement
  • Investigate any Campaign data queries
  • Carry out peer reviews of colleague's Campaign flowcharts

Essential Qualifications

  • Proven Campaign and data experience working in Campaign Execution Teams.
  • Essential Skills & Experience
  • 3-4 years' experience working with campaign management software (e.g. IBM - Unica, Adobe/Neolane)
  • Proven experience working in a high volume fast-paced campaign operations or direct marketing environment;
  • Ability to prioritise tasks, work to tight timelines, attention to detail and a tenacity to see things through to completion
  • Interpersonal skills/teamwork - ability to work effectively within a cross functional team and the ability to build relationships within a complex organisation
  • Good understanding of relationship database entities
  • Strong PC (Access, Excel, Word) & SQL skills

Desirable Qualifications, Skills & Experience

  • A knowledge of regulatory and compliance provisions relating to customer contact and data security (e.g. Data Protection and Consumer Protection Code)
  • 3rdlevel degree in IT, Marketing or related discipline
  • Ability to interrogate customer data to produce campaign analysis, customer profiles and campaign target groups
