Description of business unit:

The purpose of the Group Change function is to lead the successful delivery of change within the Bank. Group Change is accountable for end-to-end delivery of change across the Group. The Change function works closely with partners to shape and deliver change, and enables BOI to evolve its delivery capability and how it serves our customers.

The Group Change Team at Bank of Ireland is a team of dedicated Change professionals, leading the delivery and governance of change projects across Bank of Ireland. The Delivery Project Management Office exists to enable effective and efficient change delivery and inform and advise the Bank on the performance and direction of its Change agenda.

Purpose of the Role:

The Change Tooling Team Support & Development role will contribute to efficiencies for delivering and leading the delivery of change from operational level to executive level. This role will involve work across the SDLC for a global, industry leading web/RDMS solution.

This covers end user experience, data capturing, storing, processing and reporting. The candidate will work with the Change Tooling Team to lead end user and partner support while working with architects, developers and testers during the building and deployment of new and enhanced system and report functionality to support the PPM Leads in driving a focus on competency knowledge, skills and behaviours to provide appropriate capability to deliver change to the business.

Key Accountabilities:

Clarity System Tool

  • Provide support in the administering of multiple processes within the PPM application e.g. project structure maintenance, report scheduling, distribution list creation and maintenance, data imports etc.
  • Support the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) e.g. Planning, Analysis and requirements, Design, Development, testing and Implementation.
  • Support the management of the pipeline of changes required to the PPM application including review and creation of Business Requirements.
  • Create and maintain User Story documentation.
  • Support the management of change lifecycle through to deployment and embedding of changes with end users.
  • Support end users and engagement with the application provider to ensure application provides optimum user experience.
  • Participate in all Scrum and Sprint ceremonies e.g. Sprint planning, Daily Sprint Stand up, Sprint review, Sprint retrospective.

  • Gain experience working in a dispersed team comprising of members from BOI, Vendor and support team.

This job can be done anywhere in Republic of Ireland with the primary office location as Dublin to which travel will be required for in person collaboration. Exact frequency to be agreed with manager.

Essential Qualifications:

3rd-level qualification.

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Understanding of SDLC (software development life-cycle)
  • Basic knowledge of Project Management and/or delivery practices an advantage
  • Basic knowledge of the current Bank Delivery Methodology an advantage
  • Tech savvy, proficient in MS Office, Excel & PowerPoint
  • Ability to work with diverse and multi-disciplinary teams
  • Excellent ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Good interpersonal, influencing, and motivational skills
  • Detail-oriented and efficient

Desirable Qualifications, Skills & Experience:

  • Knowledge of Financial Services
  • Knowledge of Change Management processes
  • Knowledge of Project Management and PMO processes
  • Microsoft Office
