Reporting directly to the Head of Partnership Commercials, the Partnerships Commercial Associate is responsible for supporting commercial initiatives and business performance management across Bank of Ireland UK's partnerships business. The Partnership Commercial Associate also manages risk oversight within the Commercial Partnership Team and is also responsible for managing the team delivery plan.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting commercial initiatives and business performance management
  • Managing a range of commercial projects for the Partnerships business, with focus on supporting commercial contract close out, extension and renewal negotiations.
  • Monitoring actions/issues and managing their resolution.
  • Collation of information for input into Exco level papers regarding commercial arrangements, including third party contracts, for review by Head of Partnerships Commercials
  • Maintaining and ensuring risk oversight within the Partnership Commercial team including operational risk and business continuity management.
  • Managing the Partnership Commercial team overall delivery plans, reporting on progress to the Head of Commercial Partnerships
  • Provide cover for team - Partnership Commercial Initiatives Lead and Partnership Commercial Business
  • Supporting the research and delivery of key team accountabilities such as; financial planning, trading and performance analysis and budgeting and financial planning process.

Key Skills & Experience

  • Experience gained ideally within financial services with focus on legal/ contracts, governance/strategy and commercial analysis.
  • Proven experience programme and project management with demonstrable ability to develop plans and execute effectively in a professional manner.
  • Well-developed influencing, communication and relationship management skills to operate at a senior level
  • Significant experience in financial analysis and modelling.
  • Experience in reviewing and analysing third party contracts. Able to highlight hey areas of concern and propose innovative solutions.
  • Proven ability to create and sustain positive relationships with ability to manage teams/people outside of direct control

Education requirements

  • Minimum 5 GCSEs A-C grades including Maths and English or equivalent
  • Degree or Financial Services professional qualification desirable.
