Reporting directly to the Head of Commercial for Partnerships, this role is responsible for monitoring and managing business performance across the Post Office and AA Partnership agreements as well as providing financial analysis and business case development support for existing and prospective agreements. The role holder is accountable for oversight of financial and trading performance across the Partnership model, supporting the Heads of Commercial, Heads of Partnership and the Partnership Director to understand trading performance.

Key Accountabilities

  • Accountable for the day to day engagement on commercial performance with key stakeholders across Bank of Ireland Group, Bank of Ireland UK and the Partners.
  • Leading on trading performance analysis including identification of areas of underperformance that need to be addressed
  • Leading commercial engagement on the business and financial planning processes for the Partnerships businesses. Work across the business and support units to ensure we have an integrated strategic plan for the Partnership businesses. This incorporates working in conjunction with the BOIUK CFO's team to ensure that the financial planning for the Partnership is fully aligned to BOIUK and is wired into the BOI AOP, ICAAP and ILAA.
  • Accountable for the budgeting, forecasting and planning processes on behalf of the Partnership Directorate, working closely with finance colleagues
  • Delivering commercial analysis on future negotiations/business case development.
  • Ensuring new strategic opportunities are sought out, commercially assessed, governed and delivered on.
  • Deputising for the Head of Partnership Commercials for trading related Governance Forums., presenting with clarity and disseminating technical information to a senior audience articulately and concisely to enable efficient decision making

Skills & Experience

  • Experience gained at a large scale financial or risk institution.
  • Management level experience desirable
  • Proven experience in financial planning, business performance and P&L delivery, ideally within a Financial Services environment
  • Proven expertise in successfully building and delivering on strategic/financial plans
  • Well developed influencing, communication and relationship management skills to operate at a senior level
  • Proven ability to create and sustain positive relationships with ability to manage teams/people outside of direct control
  • Minimum of 5 GCSEs A- C grades or equivalent
