Reporting directly to the Head of Commercial for Partnerships, this role is responsible for monitoring and managing business performance across the Post Office and AA Partnership agreements as well as providing financial analysis and business case development support for existing and prospective agreements. The role holder is accountable for oversight of financial and trading performance across the Partnership model, supporting the Heads of Commercial, Heads of Partnership and the Partnership Director to understand trading performance.

This role would suit someone with strong commercial acumen and performance analysis experience. A finance background would be advantageous.

Key responsibilities

  • Day to day engagement on commercial performance with key stakeholders
  • Leading on trading performance analysis
  • Leading commercial engagement on the business and financial planning processes
  • Accountable for the budget, forecasting and planning processes
  • Delivering commercial analysis on future negotiations and business case development
  • Ensuring new strategic opportunities are sought out, commercially assessed, governed and delivered on

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience is a financial planning, business performance and P&L delivery, ideally within a Financial Services environment
  • Previous managerial experience would be advantageous
  • Proven experience in building and delivering on strategic/financial plans
  • Strong communication and relationship management skills

Education requirements

  • Minimum 5 GCSEs A-C grades including Maths and English or equivalent
  • Degree or Financial Services professional qualification would be desirable
