Description of business unit

The Digital, Data & Strategic Reporting (DDAS)is responsible for generating customer and market insights, through a centralised data, digital and analytics team, that enables the business units to best manage their position in the market.

It also delivers additional cross-BOI UK activities, such as UK Brand Management, Strategy Marketing, Strategy Execution reporting and has responsibility for the CEO Office.

Purpose of the Role

The role is responsible for enhancing existing online facilities and the implementation of new online developments across the range of our product pages to improve our site experience. You will also be required to support the management of web publishing through offering improvements to our processes and continually improving our customer experience.

The Digital Services mission is to:

Align digital experience and commercial imperatives to define and implement a customer-focused strategic roadmap which builds to prove the continued investment case for transformative digital capability.

Key Accountabilities

As our content specialist, the role requires you to have experience in WordPress (although this may change in the future), be comfortable working in a technology-based environment and be confident working with our many internal stakeholders. The role requires you to be self-motivated and proactive as you will largely be working independently.

The role involves:

  • Day to day responsibility for accurately publishing our web content in line with our agreed procedures
  • Working with our UX champion to recommend strategic and tactical change to improve site performance
  • Supporting cross channel activity
  • Working closely with stakeholders and team members to deliver positive customer experiences

We ask that you have:

  • Strong organisational skills
  • Experience of using WordPress or similar content management systems
  • Good attention to detail
  • A great communicator with good interpersonal skills
  • Flexible and happy to support our Agile ambitions
  • A life-long learner mindset

In addition, it would be good if you had some experience of the following:

  • Project management
  • Website analytics
  • User experience
  • Search engine optimisation
  • Digital marketing.

As we are a regulated industry, you will also need to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements as they relate to the role.
