Description of business unit

Group Information Security (GIS) is a diverse, collaborative team with multiple skillsets. With global cyber threats constantly evolving, the team is critical to protecting one of the Group's most important and valuable assets: Information.

GIS not only protects the security of the Bank but also enables colleagues to develop secure ways of working and helps them manage information security risk.

Purpose of the Role

The Cyber Engagement business team champions cross-divisional collaboration which is focused on enabling secure and agile business outcomes, supporting the Security Culture Programme.

Key Accountabilities

  • Support business areas with the management of cyber security related issues and develop joint understanding of the information security risks to their business
  • Help plan and co-drive the security champion network forums, thinking creatively to deliver interactive, motivational and collaborative sessions
  • Build internal partner relationships, socialising the security agenda Group-wide and across all levels
  • Promote the capabilities and benefits of toolsets and solutions to help reduce cyber risk
  • Support the business on the remediation options for audit or regulatory findings
  • Support the day to day Cyber Engagement team activities

You will join a team passionate about helping to deliver business enablement while providing security mentorship and ensuring key information security controls are applied.

We are passionate about Engagement and collaboration with business units which will help drive a security culture change aligned to Group culture. This is a key driver for us in enabling a resilient organisation with a focus on protecting its customers.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • A passion for engaging with people and willingness to upskill in cyber security concepts
  • Strong communication / presentation skills with ability to explain security concepts in Plain English to colleagues at all levels
  • Experience in business advisory or in being an advocate
  • An organised approach with ability to prioritise tasks
  • Ability to work on own initiative and as a great teammate

Desirable Qualifications, Skills & Experience

  • Awareness of fundamental cyber security threats and information security concepts
  • Mapping Data Process flows at business levels
  • Experience working with Information Security, Risk, Assurance, or Data would be an advantage
  • Awareness of industry standards relating to Information Security
