The Bank of Ireland Data Analytics Graduate Program is a two year Programme that works acrossseveral unique business units. Our specifically designed rotational programme gives you an exceptional opportunity to grow personally and professionally, while developing the technical skills needed for you to play an important role in our team.
On this programme you will gain hands-on experience across Data Science, Data Visualisation and Data Engineering. The objective is that at the end of your rotations you will be a well-rounded data analyst with a multidimensional skill set. You will also gain invaluable experience supporting the Bank of Ireland Group in understanding the potential benefits of Enterprise Data and how truly embedded analytics and insights maximise value realisation.
You will have the opportunity to query billions of rows of raw transactional, customer and product data using SQL, wrangling and integrating this data and then generating insights on the back of your analysis. In order to solve business problems and identify interesting trends and insights you will use a combination of toolsets such as Teradata, Python and SAS while learning techniques including statistical analysis and advanced machine learning algorithms.
Through hands on development you will learn from industry experts how to develop innovative and intuitive visualisations to support accurate fact based decisions across the Business. To do this you will develop skills using tools such as Tableau and R, as well as best practices in creating easy to consume charts and metrics. You will also develop storytelling skills which are important for translating complex technical problems into easy to digest insights for non-technical colleagues. You will have the opportunity to present your results to Senior Data Analysts and Business Leaders.
You will gain invaluable experience in Data Modelling and Data Engineering through engagement with the Enterprise Data Warehouse Business Team. Here you will develop skills including Data Modelling and ETL Development.
During this 2 year program you will be part of a best in class graduate development group. You'll learn from hands-on coaching and focused internal training sessions across a wide range of toolsets including Python, Teradata and Tableau. You will work with key business units including the Enterprise Data Warehouse Business Team and the Analytics team which includes Data Modelling, ETL Development and Data Science. Graduates will undertake a project during each 8 month rotation working closely with a Senior Analyst. This value driven project will allow you the opportunity to consolidate different Data Analysis skills while also learning how to present key findings to Senior Finance Executives.
We offer opportunities to students who have achieved, or are expected to achieve, a minimum 2:1 Honours Degree or Masters from all disciplines.
