We are eagerly looking to recruit a DevOps Lead Engineer (Data Factory) to join our IT & Engineering team within Bank of Ireland!
Bank of Ireland is embarking on a journey to transform how it develops software used to support its customers. We're looking a hands on, proactive Lead DevOps Engineers who are strategic thinkers, but also more than capable to roll up their sleeves and implement key initiatives.
The Lead DevOps Engineer role is a senior role within the bank and you will need to be able to understand the complex requirements of delivering software in a regulated environment.
You will also need to have a detailed understanding of the technical building blocks used to build / test / deploy our applications, and can communicate this to both a non-technical and technical audience.
Work closely with our engineering teams to understand their product requirements, how they build, test and deploy their software applications
Provide guidance on DevOps tools, environments & best practices to our teams that have been developed by the DevOps Centre of Excellence (DCOE) Contribute to the DCOE initiatives, either in the form of documentation and best practices or helping to deliver strategic solutions to the bank that work for our engineering teams.
Promote DevOps internally within the bank, and be an advocate for clean and rapid & robust software delivery pipelines within the bank.
Seamlessly move from the presentation deck to the code editor and help realize our strategic ambitions
To work with the banks Engineering Factories & DevOps Centre of Excellence to build best in class in delivery pipelines.

This job can be done anywhere in Republic of Ireland with the primary office location as Dublin to which travel will be required for in person collaboration.
