Digital & Customer analytics are accountable for the delivery of a consistent approach to customer experience design across the UK Division, underpinned by outcome based customer analytics.

The successful candidate will be responsible forstructuring and leveraging data to support growth and innovation within Bank of Ireland UK. It's an exciting time to join the team as the importance of data and analytics continues to grow and in turn we'll support with training and development in the execution of machine learning models in a real world environment.

The role holder will be responsible for supporting the creation and maintenance of data models used both internally within the team and externally across BOI UK.

Key Accountabilities

  • Ensure full compliance with all regulatory requirements as they relate to the role and ensure projects consider all aspects of Groups values
  • Support the designing, building, testing and deployment machine learning models aligned to business requirements and monitor models ensuring continued validity with concerns raised and communicated to peers
  • Complete changes to models aligned to agreed operational framework, ensuring all necessary steps taken to assure quality of end product
  • Maintain and develop validation rule references and parameters maintain quality of data within models
  • Create and monitor data extracts from central repository as needed to support internal / external customers' requirements

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Experience building predictive models with data science or advanced analytics experience
  • Competent technical skills in statistical programming languages (e.g. SAS, R, Python, etc.)
  • Degree in Quantitative field (e.g. Business Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, etc) would be advantageous
  • Knowledge of advanced / complex statistical techniques
  • Advance skills on data visualization (e.g. MS Excel, Tableau, Power BI)
  • Experience in working in big data technology (e.g. SQL, SAS, Hadoop, NoSQL DB) is desirable
