Purpose of the Role

Reporting to the Director of Everyday Banking, the Digital Channels Product Owner will drive the enhancement and expansion of our digital footprint to deepen digital relationships in existing and new channels leveraging the mobile app / UXP as a platform. The Digital Channels Production Owner will be a strategic, results-driven leader who is passionate about designing best-in-class digital experiences and staying at the forefront of cutting edge technology in the banking space.

Key Accountabilities

Strategy:

  • Define the Digital channels strategy and Objectives and Key Resources (OKR) aligned with Everyday Banking objectives
  • Translate digital strategy into delivery roadmaps across customer improvement, technology, and operations
  • Personal accountability for the management of key commercial KPIs / OKRs and the development and delivery of stretching annual performance targets
  • Influence stakeholders on strategic direction of digital channels backed by research and data, to convey the product vision, then present to a wide audience including senior leaders in BOI.
  • Maintain domain architecture and road maps and its alignment with technology road map.

Digital Channel Management:

  • Partner with Legal, Conduct, Risk, and ensure strategies and execution for the set of features under their control are delivered flawlessly and meet key compliance, risk, and control need to protect both our business and customer interests.
  • Manage the digital channels backlog and prioritization of features, considering varying priorities across multiple lines of business.
  • When introducing new customer touch points and experiences to BOI customers, partner closely with Marketing, Segment and Customer Experience teams to ensure the experience is positioned appropriately and conveys the value proposition to the customer.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders and customer groups to design technology solutions to enhance and expand our digital footprint.
  • Work closely with technical teams to define and understand digital architecture and document technical solutions based on project requirements and industry best practices.
  • Manage the availability of the app, app store ratings and future proof digital journeys with straight through processing (STP) through the app.

Digital Best Practices and Ways of Working:

  • Drive the implementation of best-in-class practices in digital change and transformation
  • Influence and shape digital ways of working to drive the implementation of agile, customer centric and cross functional teams

Team

  • Key member of Everyday Banking SMT, providing thought leadership and contribution to overall strategic development and direction of the business.
  • Manage Agile Scrum teams to implement the build of a best-in-class digital experience.
  • Manage, support and develop a team of digital product owners and digital SMEs.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Excellent knowledge of digital communications, social media and emerging digital platforms
  • Substantial experience and success in managing and delivering large and complex digital projects and effective liaison with 3rdparty vendors.
  • Demonstrated ability to solve problems, determine appropriate actions and complete projects with little direction.
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines and thrive in a multi-project environment, while ensuring production systems are up and performing well.
  • Experience in agile development processes.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong understanding of the Group's risk management framework and demonstrated experience of implementing an effective risk management process in an operating environment.
  • Strong communication skills, personal credibility and impact, with the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • Sound judgment and business instinct, strategic thinking and personal and professional integrity.
