Description of business unit
The External Communications team manages the Group`s corporate reputation and implements a highly active PR/communications strategy for the Group.
This involves supporting the business by creating and implementing communication plans for a range of divisions across the bank and delivering communications advice and counsel to senior executives across the Group.
The External Communications team manages the press office, and creates external messaging (press releases, statements, responses to media enquiries, issues management etc.), ensuring they are delivered effectively. The team also supports in speech preparation, research, and the provision of briefing supports for key stakeholder engagements.
Purpose of the Role
Group Communications has a recruitment requirement for a team member who can provide excellent media management and engagement, crisis and incident communications, reputation risk management, drafting high level briefing documents, and delivering proactive and reactive external communications advice and counsel to senior executives across the Group including at GEC level. Strong media management experience is required for this role.
