Description of Division/Business Unit

Within the Group's Finance Division there are a number of teams including:

Finance Services: The teams within Finance Services are responsible for the delivery of timely & accurate financial and management information to each Division which supports effective decision-making and review. With responsibility for the monthly and quarterly close processes they ensure underlying processing, review and controls have been completed in accordance with Group policy.

Group Performance Reporting: This is a newly created central team which seeks to consolidate, streamline and enhance all relevant and structured group reporting and management information (financial and operational) provided to the Business.

Commercial Partnering Ireland: Through collaborative partnering across each of the Divisions, this team is the key provider of financial and strategic support to Business Units to help set and achieve their business and strategic objectives.

Chief Data Office: This team is responsible for the development and execution of the Group's Data and Analytics strategy. Through engagement with the business, they are responsible for data acquisition, provision, governance and standards in order to drive and measure value from data.

Key Accountabilities

The key accountabilities will depend on the role, but may include the following:

  • Delivery of high quality financial information to key stakeholders;
  • Assist in the delivery of high quality financial and management reports;
  • Delivery of high quality financial information to key stakeholders;
  • Support the preparation of reports analysing business performance;
  • Provide financial and analytical support as required by the ongoing business requirements and strategic initiatives;
  • Preparation and review of the Group and Bank financial statements, subsidiary financial statements and facilitation of the audit process;
  • Build & maintain excellent working relationships with key stakeholders and customers by consistently delivering a professional service on a daily basis;
  • Drive continual process improvement and efficiencies.

Essential Qualifications

We are currently seeing candidates with the following qualifications:

  • Qualified accountant with PQE
  • Newly qualified accountant
  • Qualified VAT consultant
  • Part-qualified accountant
  • Level 8 degree in business, data analytics or other
  • Leaving Certificate

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • A self-starter with proven ability to work effectively both independently and within a team;
  • Experience working towards challenging deadlines and targets, delivering at pace and to a high standard;
  • Strong relationship building skills, with the capability to establish collaborative relationships with key stakeholders;
  • Keen attention to detail.
