Description

Bank of Ireland's Transformation Program is seeking to appoint an experienced digital transformation and business change leader to lead, oversee, monitor and drive strategic change programmes and initiatives; support the business in carrying out improvements and efficiencies and manage the Programme Management Office (PMO) activities.

Purpose of the Role

The purpose of the PMO office is to ensure that we implement new ways of working and bring a real focus, rigour and discipline in how we plan and manage our transformation, core banking system and strategic change projects. Transparency and accuracy in how we report against our plans and monitor our progress is essential.

Key Accountabilities

To drive, lead and support digital transformation and business change

  • Ensure strategic change programmes are scoped, planned, resourced, funded, procured, executed, governed and embedded effectively into the business
  • Be an integral part of strategic change programme scoping and planning workshops, ensuring that key user input is gathered and areas such as opportunities to transform and change existing business models, future efficiencies and end user experience improvements are identified and realised.
  • Be an integral part of strategic change programme tendering and selection processes ensuring a formal governance process is followed and that the group gets the best solutions aligned to our ambition and values

What is the opportunity?

The successful candidate will get the chance to drive, lead and support transformation and business change through CBSP, working closely with the Program Director and the Senior Leadership Team to ensure that the core banking system and strategic change programmes are scoped, planned, resourced, funded, procured, executed, governed and embedded effectively into the business.

Experience and Qualifications, Skills & Experience

  • 3rd level and/or professional qualification
  • Significant experience in project / programme roles.
  • Expert knowledge of project management and planning processes and techniques.
  • Experience of leading, developing and managing a team is essential.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skillswith the ability to use data and metrics to back up assumptions, recommendations and drive actions
  • Demonstrated ability to understand and discuss technical concepts, manage trade-offs and evaluate opportunities and new ideas with internal and external partners
  • Demonstrable experience of large transformation projects, going through the entire project life cycle and a proven track record of project delivery.
