The HR Operations Team at Bank of Ireland provides HR Customer Service, operational, administrational and payroll services to all employees (including pensioners) throughout the lifecycle of their careers. They are currently seeking a HR Administrator to join their busy team.

The opportunity:

The primary objective of the Administrator role is to ensure that all data processing, administrative and clerical activities are carried out in a timely, accurate and effective manner.

Typical work involves taking instruction or data updates as they are received into HR Operations and ensuring that all relevant systems are updated and associated letters, reports, documentation etc. are produced.

This is a 12 month fixed term contract.

Location: This role is based in Baggot Plaza.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily workload planning
  • Delivering a professional and consistently high level of customer service to meet customer requirements.
  • Ensure that both telephone and email queries are responded to accurately clearly and within SLA`s
  • Maintaining a high level of quality, carrying out high volumes and routine tasks, within agreed SLA`s
  • Maintain employee records on SAP and effect any changes in terms and conditions of employment.
  • Issue contracts of employment.
  • Time sheet administration.
  • Partake in special projects as required.
  • Contribute to team goals and objectives by actively sharing skills and knowledge for the achievement of team targets
  • Drive service excellence principles across HR Operations
  • Adherence to all BOI Group Policies, Procedures and relevant Regulations

Essential Requirements:


  • Proven track record of a superior performance in a team environment
  • Customer service focus - a strong commitment to providing first class service
  • Experience in dealing with stakeholders and clients - Good organisational / planning skills -


  • Ability to act on own initiative, influence & motivate others
  • Ability to delivery and achieve results within timelines
  • Enthusiastic with a drive for change and efficiency - Attention to detail & accuracy -
  • The ability to strict deadlines - Good interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written - Good level of PC skills - word/excel/access


  • Leaving certificate - minimum of 5 passes (grade D or above) at Ordinary Level, which must includeEnglish and Maths, or equivalent or superseding qualification

Desirable Requirements:

  • SAP Experience is desirable
