Description of business unit
Group Operational Risk (GOR) is responsible for building and embedding a Court-approved framework for the effective measurement and management of Operational Risk across the Group. Our goal is to work with Business Units to ensure exposures to operational risk are controlled and mitigated in accordance with the parameters of the Group's risk appetite. We are responsible for providing independent operational risk oversight and assurance for the Group. In addition to business process mapping, operational risk methodology, measurement and reporting, our team is focussed on risk management of key sub-risks to the Group including technology, sourcing, business continuity, information security and unauthorised trading.

The Operational Risk Methodology team has been recently formed; our purpose is to enhance and maximise the methodologies used in the identification, assessment, measurement and management of operational risk and its sub-risks across the Group. The team is also responsible for ensuring that IBM Openpages is managed, maintained and developed to fullest potential to enable the operational risk management to operate effectively, efficiently and consistently across the Group.
This is a cross-functional individual contributor role to lead the technical solution delivery for analytics projects, realising value of the Group's risk management data. What is the opportunity
The successful applicant will have the opportunity to define, design, deliver and drive the execution of Operational Risk Methodology team's data and analytics approaches, reporting format, and risk management application (IBM Openpages); with a view to embedding data-driven risk management reporting and analysis solutions across the GOR function and wider Group. The role-holder will manage the delivery of end-to-end projects within the data and analytics approaches, utilising Agile principles. The role affords a high level of exposure to key internal and external stakeholders, managing a complex workload and delivering in a matrix-management environment.
This is a really exciting time to join the Operational Risk Methodology team and the wider GOR function as we continue to enhance the Operational Risk Management Framework, tools and approaches to support the Group in achieving its strategic objectives. If you are interested in working in a fast moving and evolving business and regulatory environment, where carefully managed business change is essential to ensure a customer focussed outcome, where you are empowered to drive progress towards successful delivery of a far reaching programme with defined timelines, where accountability and agility is expected and where you will work collaboratively with Group wide colleagues, we would like to hear from you.
