Description of business unit

Group Infrastructure Delivery, part of IT & Engineering Delivery family, is responsible for defining and Delivering the Infrastructure roadmap to support the bank's strategy. Working closely with our key suppliers and internal customers to ensure value for money delivery.

Purpose of the Role

The role holder is responsible for infrastructure delivery with a portfolio of projects/programmes. Priority is to ensure consistent delivery across the portfolio and in line with Group Infra strategy and optimize engagement with suppliers.

Key Accountabilities

  • Establish and maintain an appropriate programme governance structure and effective communication process for Portfolio
  • Follow the appropriate programme management framework is in place, finishing the vital reporting, control and critical issue mechanisms
  • Run the infrastructure programme budget, monitoring and reporting the costs against the delivered and realised benefits
  • Raise issues as appropriate & in a timely manner
  • Co-ordinate and cultivate collaboration and manage the skills transfer and knowledge within the project

Infra Delivery Lifecycle

  • Confirm the scope of a proposed programme, and clearly define the objectives of the programme
  • Ensure the required allocation of resources, skills and expertise is secured
  • Programme Execution and Delivery
  • Plan the programme and supervise its overall progress, resolving issues, initiating corrective action as appropriate and referring major issues upwards as vital
  • Manage the knowledge and skills transfer within the programme & to ongoing operations teams
  • Manage the operational activities of internal teams, partners, third parties, where appropriate i.e. providing mentorship, checking invoices, internal cross charging and confirming/signing-off work
  • Ensure programme delivery is coherent with the overall programme objectives and related business strategy
  • Ensure effective & timely communication with all partners to the programme
  • Manage both the dependencies and the interfaces between constituent projects and workstreams
  • Establish an effective relationship with relevant partners to coordinate technical solution(s) including 3rd parties
  • Robust maintenance of all programme documentation/registers and management of suitable governance fora Risk and Compliance
  • Constant challenge of approach to ensure risk and controls of solutions are outstanding
  • Transparent reporting on all risk, issues and mitigating actions
  • Ensure full compliance with all Group, Legal and Regulatory requirements and standards

  • Live and support Group culture, values and behaviours
  • Positive and proactive participation within the team and active collaboration with Group colleagues

This job can be done anywhere in Republic of Ireland with the primary office location as Dublin to which travel will be required for in person collaboration. Exact frequency to be agreed with manager.

Essential Qualifications

  • Consistent record of delivering business value from programmes as senior PM and through large scale change projects
  • Experience of achieving technical and business projects and solutions in the financial services sector
  • Experience in using agile methodologies
  • Consistent track record in delivering large scale efficiency programmes via process improvement/simplification

Essential Skills & Experience

  • 3+ years working in agile/waterfall project delivering Infrastructure
  • Management of 3rd parties as part of programme delivery and working with offshore teams in the delivery of programmes

Desirable Qualifications, Skills & Experience

  • Knowledge of technology- think 'technically literate'
  • Demonstrable experience in a financial organisation
  • Experience working in infrastructure/security programmes
