The successful candidate will join the Retail Product team, a dynamic actuarial team which is responsible for the end-to-end ownership of New Ireland Retail products.

The Investment Product Owner for New Ireland, Bank of Ireland Wealth & Insurance will have responsibility for ensuring the commerciality of our investment and savings product range, for driving innovation and efficiency in these product lines and ensuring that these products fully meet the expectations of our customers and advisors. The role will report to the Retail Product Lead in New Ireland.

Key Accountabilities

  • Develop and execute the investment and savings product strategy for the business, ensuring the commercial success of these key product lines
  • Responsibility for the end-to-end investment and savings product performance across all aspects of the product lifecycle
  • Owner of the commercial relationship with the Investment Markets Unit, working closely with the IMU team to drive the delivery of their fund initiatives
  • Owner of fund governance from an NIA Commercial team perspective
  • Work with Customer Insights, Customer Services and Compliance/Legal to ensure the continued suitability of our investment and savings product range
  • Work with the Head of Commercial Delivery to deliver our PSLM process
  • Work closely with Head of Pricing and Insights to develop and drive the commercial value of our investment and savings product range
  • Work with our marketing teams on developing our customer engagement campaigns

Essential Qualifications

  • Ideally Nearly/Qualified Actuary or advanced in exams with minimum 2 - 5 years' experience
  • Minimum 2-5 years relevant experience within Insurance or Financial Services
  • Direct experience within the Insurance industry

Essential Skills & Experience

  • A very strong commercial understanding of the Insurance and wealth market.
  • Proven history of commercializing customer insight.
  • Proven history of innovation
  • Excellent relationship building skills.
  • Excellent communication skills with an ability to create a vision for New Ireland/BoI in how we deliver products that create customer value and commercial opportunity.
  • A structured and disciplined manager of plans and objectives.
  • Knowledge of the financial structure, operation and governance of insurance products.
  • Strategic mind-set to help define, shape and drive the Company's overall objective to be the financial services partner of choice for Irish customers.
  • The ability influence key stakeholders in terms of strategic direction and the implications of different strategic choices for future income.
