About us

The Service Design team, within Technology Services, comprises of Availability, Capacity, IT Service Continuity Management (ITSCM) and Business Continuity Management (BCM).

The team focus is on the critical IT Services and ensure they perform today, be prepared for the future and recover as expected if needed. We do this through close working relationships with our partners (internal and external) and a proactive approach to IT service management.

What is the role

We are constantly evolving the way we operate in Service Design to always focus on ensuring our critical services have robust continuity capability for today, tomorrow and into the future. Specifically for IT Availabiity & CapacityManagement we strive to : -

  • Align our process with the Group's needs -coordinating closely with ourproviders and internal stakeholdersto ensure our focus is on services critical to the Group.
  • Implement our service standards- ensuring critical IT services are delivering what the customers expect.
  • Provide Assurance- verify and monitor the capability of critical services tomeet availability and capacity objectives today and tomorrow.
  • Plan for the future -focus for the year ahead in ensuring we meet ourservicecommitments, quality targets and our critical services are fully prepared foroperation.

Success for this role is ensuring we plan forward with an Availability & Capacityoutlookfor the coming 12-24 monthsthat continously meet customer expectations.

Key Accountabilities

  • Planning forward 12-24 monthsfor service committments aligned to Availability & Capacity
  • Acting as a Service Integrator across all teams, partners and business demand sources.
  • Analysis, monitoring and contribution to theAvailability & Capacity framework for all critical IT services.
  • Championing the Availability & Capacity function and Service Design team.
  • Owning, maintaining, measuring and educating multiple parties on the Availability & Capacity management process, policy, controls and risks.
  • Ensuring key partner SLA's are in place, appropriate and tracked againstAvailability & Capacityrequirements.
  • Engaging with multiple stakeholders in the group, in and outside of IT.

We have a hybrid working model, with home, agile hub, and office-based options available. We will always list a primary location which can be where you go for in person collaboration, and a location where you can best perform your role.

Please note you must live in the jurisdiction for the business to which you are contracted.

This job can be done anywhere in Republic of Ireland with the primary office location as Dublin to which travel will be required for in person collaboration. Exact frequency to be agreed with manager.

Essential Qualifications

  • Proven ability to effectively manage multiple simultaneous tasks and/or initiatives
  • Ability to manage well under pressure and to operate in a decisive and inclusive manner
  • Confidence in dealing with all levels within an organisation
  • Experience of managing work across a multi-vendor outsourced environment
  • Strong reporting and presentational skills

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Excellent understanding of the Availability & Capacity process and policies
  • Experience building IT Capacity models and undertaking service analysis
  • Experience of delivering results through cross team collaboration
  • Good IT systems knowledge and skills

Desirable Qualifications, Skills & Experience

  • Understanding of IT Availability & Capacity tools and techniques
  • Industry certifications desirable
