Reporting to (title): Head of Infrastructure Operations

Description of business unit

The Infrastructure Operations Team operates within the Technology Services department of the Bank's Group Technology and Customer Services Division.

Infrastructure Operation's role is to "Enable the Service" through driving the Bank's Service Partners in providing the Bank with the Technology platform required to run the business effectively and efficiently, securing Customer and Bank data, improving stability and remaining current in order to provide a premier service to the Bank\\\'s customer base.

Purpose of the Role

The purpose of the IT Business and Process Information Analyst is to support the Service Performance Manager in the management the area's Finance, Risk, process automation and MI reporting requirements, in order to ensure the successful delivery of services within the Infrastructure Operations Team. The Business Information Analyst will provide support across a number of areas including:

  • IT billing & financial management
  • Management Information (MI) reporting
  • Cost optimisation
  • Communications and training

Key Accountabilities

Working closely within the Bank's Infrastructure Operations area, other areas in Technology Services and the Bank's service provider(s) to:

  • Collaborate with Group Finance to drive and support initiatives that manage Technology Services finances and support the bank's cost saving deliverables, ensuring that billing / costs are reconciled and opportunities for cost optimisation identified.
  • Develop and oversee Demand Management process and engage with key stakeholders to prioritise and manage requests.
  • Develop and manage the Infrastructure Operations monthly and ad hoc MI reporting requests.
  • Responsible for day to day engagement with the Bank's Audit, Risk and Assurance teams.
  • Support the Head of the Infrastructure Operations in the delivery of the Operating Model and Objectives for the year which will underpin activities and deliverables that teams will work to deliver. Work with team leads, team members, and other stakeholders to assist with driving engagement and the delivery of the outlined activities and deliverables

Essential Qualifications

Minimum Grade 2.1 in IT related degree or equivalent relevant experience

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Attention to detail - ability to review and assess complex data in order to qualify and identify and communicate key messages.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to build enduring relationships at all levels across the organisation.
  • Highly experienced in relation to financial management and reporting.
  • Extensive experience in using a range of software to develop comprehensive MI and reporting packs.
  • Demonstrable experience of working within a heavily outsourced, multi stakeholder IT organisation.
  • Self-starter, highly experienced in workload prioritisation and ability to perform well under pressure.
  • Regulatory, risk and compliance management
  • Strong reporting / analytics skills
  • Financial & budget management
  • MI production and presentation
  • Senior stakeholder management
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Experienced using a range of software to support report development.
