Description of business unit

The Change & Release team, as a function within the larger Service Management Office, oversee the process for IT infrastructure and software deployments, carried out within theBank's production environment,for Planned and Emergency releases.

The team manage the FSC (Forward Schedule of Change) and the CAB (Change Advisory Board)Process, including the management of Change Related Incidents.

Purpose of the Role

The purpose of Change & Release Analyst is to support business strategy and ensure delivery of agreedIT@BOIservice levels bycontrolling releases in a defined, planned and systematic fashion, whilst minimising disruption to end users of the affected services.

The Change & Release Analyst will also be expected to work on various projects across the SMO funciton, as availability allows.

Key Accountabilities

The Change & Release Analyst, while also working as part of the larger SMO Operations team, will also be accountable for:

  • Helping to operate the Change & ReleaseManagement process, monitoring its efficiency, driving its continuous improvement
  • Ensuring the process is performed as designed
  • Driving effectiveService Governanceacross stakeholders
  • Providing management information on IT service quality and delivery
  • Provide SME input and guidance to Service Providers
  • Managing process exceptions

Essential Qualifications

Third level degree/qualification in relevant disciplineor equivalent experience

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Evidence of strong relationship building and networking capability
  • Strong communication skills - verbal, presentation and written
  • Ability to understand and gain insight from technical information and data
  • Evidence of delivery within a demanding environment while managing conflicting priorities
  • High Level of IT proficiency, preferably with ServiceNow experience

Desirable Qualifications, Skills & Experience

  • Previous IT Service Management experience
  • Familiarity or part qualification of the ITIL Framework/Dev Ops/Agile methodoligies
  • Ability to understand and gain insight from technical information and data
  • ServiceNow, SharePoint & PowerBi experience desriable
  • Intermediate to Advanced MS Office skills essential
