IT Demand Co-ordinator

The IT Demand Management team is responsible for the review and approval of the ITService requests process. Engaging with the Bank's key IT Partners covering IT Infrastructure &Telecom provisions and Application support services the team ensures technically sound and commercially viable solutions are agreed and accepted by all relevant stakeholders in advance of their implementation.

Purpose of the Role

The IT Demand Coordinator is responsible for understanding and anticipating customer demand for IT services and managing and fine-tuning the processes and associated engagements with strategic IT vendors to meet this demand

Key Accountabilities

Demand Co-ordination

  • Actively participate in the Request for Service (RFS) process for Bank of Ireland, ensuring it is performed effectively and monitored & measured to drive continuous improvement

Continuous Improvement, Monitoring & Escalation

  • Participate in a quality agenda & make recommendations for Service Improvement Plans (SIPs) including the automation and streamlining of the process

Process Oversight & Governance

  • Work with suppliers to produce relevant and accurate Management Information for review at key governance fora

Additional responsibilities

  • Schedule and chair process Governance meetings and share minutes
  • Participate in relevant Service governance meetings as required
  • Monitor Vendor performance against SLAs
  • Contribute to audits as required

Essential Skills & Experience


  • Confident in engaging at different levels within an organisation
  • Experience working in a multi-partner outsourced environment
  • Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and to operate in a decisive and inclusive manner


  • Good analytical skills and Business acumen
  • Process focus with the ability to recognise and develop process improvements
  • Excellent interpersonal skills

Desirable Qualifications, Skills & Experience


  • Knowledge of Enterprise IT services, including Application, Infrastructure & Telecoms Managed service provisions an advantage


  • Strong facilitation and negotiation skills
  • Knowledge of IT Service Management (ITIL Foundation)
