Based in the Commercial division of New Ireland, this is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious professional to be a member of the Life and Pensions Technical Team providing technical support and guidance to all distribution channels, internal and external customers. Our focus is on being market leaders in providing technical support and delivering superior technical expertise to all customers, while ensuring the highest quality and control standards are maintained at all times.

Purpose of the Role

The team provides market leading technical support to all distribution channels and internally to customer service teams so is key to our goal to serve our customers brilliantly.

Key Accountabilities

The Life and Pensions Technical team provides technical support to New Ireland's Customer Service teams, Commercial division and to all our Distribution Channels.

  • The team provide expert technical solutions to a large volume of life and pensions technical queries
  • The team prepares quotations and reports for our Distribution Channels and issues technical support material and market updates on a regular basis
  • The team also provides training both internally and externally for our Distribution Channel
  • The team are involved in technical aspects of work relating to Pension Adjustment Order
  • Development of team processes/initiatives to ensure efficiencies and continuous improvement

Essential Qualifications

QFA qualified orLIA Retirement Planning Advice (RPA) qualification (or similar).

We will consider candidates embarkingon their journeyor are part way through their journey to achieve relevant qualifications

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Proven pensions industry experience preferably with some experience in a technical role
  • Excellent working knowledge of life and pension products
  • Strong customer focus
  • A high level of accuracy and attention to detail is essential, as well as the ability to interpret and explain complex pensions matters clearly and effectively.
  • Ability to multi-task and assess priorities


Experience indelivering training and presentations is desirable but not essential
