As customer expectations grow and there is an increasing demand for personalised customer experiences, there is a growing demand on the Customer Analytics team to enable this personalised experience. The Customers Analytics department is a growing area within Bank of Ireland and is responsible for actionable customer insights, predictive modelling and marketing optimisation. There is a major opportunity to leverage the Bank`s data to deliver a more personalised customer experience and transform the organisation to become more data driven.

The purpose of the role is to create a holistic performance measurement capability that enables the Chief Marketing Office to be driven by data.

  • Responsible for extractingandanalysing data and to form recommendations for enhanced marketing performance. the marketing team plus other stakeholders.
  • Perform analysis on all aspects of the campaign management cycle including marketing across multiple forms of media, customer response modelling, in-campaign analysis and post campaign analysis.
  • Work on improving the performance across the full range of our marketing channels including radio, direct mail, e-mail, PPC, display, press, TV etc.
  • Track campaigns and develop campaign performance and ROI analysis.
  • Use data visualization tools to explain your results simply and succinctly to senior audiences.
  • Bring a passion for aggregating, analysing and visualising data to improve marketing performance.
  • Have a strong analytical background coupled with an ability to relate results to the business and marketing stakeholders.
  • Ability to take analytical results and form recommendations which add value and drive change.
  • Leverage exceptional attention to detail to build accurate analysis and deliver impactful results and insights.
  • An individual who is excited to learn and test new toolsets and someone who keeps in touch with emerging trends in data and analytics.

Batchelor or Masters in Computer Science, Analytics, Business Intelligence or similar.

  • At least 5 years experience working in analytics or business intelligence.
  • Strong SQL knowledge to acquire, manipulate and aggregate data.
  • Strong knowledge of web analytics data and databases e.g. Google Analytics and Google Big Query
  • Understanding of marketing testing techniques (A/B testing, multivariate testing, channel attribution) and statistical measures.
  • Good understanding of digital marketing, web marketing, SEO, SEM, PPC and social media marketing tactics and analytics.
  • Proven ability to work effectively with colleagues from different disciplines across business and technical functions.
  • A drive to succeed and make a major contribution to the success of analytics and marketing within the BOI group.
  • Experience in the development and roll out of reports using data visualisation tools such as Tableau, Qlikview or Power BI.
