Mortgages Direct, as part of Direct Sales UK aims to enhance and support an emerging multichannel proposition across consumer banking. Mortgage sales and customer acquisition growth is underpinned by our established banking subsidiary, Bank of Ireland (UK) plc and our strong relationship with the Post Office and AA. Direct Sales UK play an integral role in maximising revenue and loyalty at the same time as offering customers choice and convenience.

Purpose of the Role

This role is within a contact centre environment that promotes customer centric behaviours and delivers continuous improvement and drive sales process adherence for mortgages and related products sold.

Please note this role operates a variety of shifts, working in a 4 week rota system.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure fully compliant with all regulatory requirements as they relate to Mortgage Adviser roles.
  • Conduct structured mortgage interviews to ensure the provision of best advice and excellent customer service across a range of mortgage enquiries
  • To ensure all documentation sent to customers is of a high calibre for content, clarity and accuracy.
  • Achieve and maintain the required levels of competency in line with training and competence requirements, ensuring evidence of all relevant professional qualifications accomplished that are required for the role
  • Review all mortgage enquiries to ensure all appropriate services linked to the provision of a mortgage are adequately discussed with customers
  • Convert mortgage leads to completions in line with customer need and targets
  • Embed the BOI UK Customer Charter (FACE) and support and contribute to an environment that encourages customer centricity
  • To understand the implications and impact your role and activities have on our customers under Conduct Risk (TCF) principles and that you ensure fair outcomes to all customers
  • Implements personal and professional development to ensure that all mandatory and regular training and/or testing is carried out in accordance with training and competence requirements
  • To ensure all documentation sent to customers is of a high calibre for content, clarity and accuracy.
  • Review and keep up-to-date with all communications cascaded on criteria/policy changes, sales performance, service and key business messages

Essential Qualifications

  • 5 GCSEs A-C grades including Maths and English or equivalent
  • CeMAP or equivalent qualified

Essential Key Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a mortgage advisor
  • Proven track record of maintaining adequate quality of applications and leads to other associated product and service providers
  • Proven track record of complying with internal and external; regulatory, operational, compliance and key control systems and procedures`
  • Ability to interpret policy and criteria to ensure correct provision of advice, recommendation and decision in principle declarations and regulatory rules
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
