Description of business unit
Mortgages Direct, as part of Sales aims to enhance and support an emerging multichannel proposition across consumer banking. Mortgage sales and customer acquisition growth is underpinned by our established banking subsidiary, BOI (UK) plc and our strong relationship with the UK Post Office. Sales play an integral role in maximising revenue and loyalty at the same time as offering customers choice and convenience.
Purpose of the Role
The successful candidate will carry out the role of Mortgage Consultant and will act as the initial point of contact for existing and new business customers alike. The consultant must have the ability to build strong relationships with our partners whilst also holding a strong relationship with Potential and Existing Customers, to provide consistency throughout the Business Unit.

Embracing the principles of regulation, leadership, teamwork and self- improvement
Ensure fully compliant with all regulatory requirements that relate to Mortgage Consultant roles.
What is the opportunity?
You will be responsible for providing our customers with a fantastic customer journey and will support them through the initial part of applying for a mortgage with us either directly or through our partner brands, to build a strong relationship to enable the customer to be able to discuss the process with Ease.
5 GCSE grade C or above, or equivalent including Mathematics and English and certificates of these results
Essential Skills & Experience
Previous Customer Services Experience and to be able to deliver on selling needs within the team
Ability to work under pressure and keeping effective time Management in the process all whilst adhering to the contact Centre Best Practice.
Excellent communication skills and also have adaptability to suit the needs of all customers
To be able to demonstrate the ability to use a number of computer systems
Maintain regulatory standards set and adhere to all policy and procedures
Desirable Qualifications, Skills & Experience
The ideal candidate will require self-motivation and effective Decision Making skills for this role
Be capable of interpreting customer needs to provide relevant products and services
Be able to make relevant enquiries with other areas of the business to manage customer expectations and provide service excellence
