Description of Business Unit

Home Buying sits within Retail Ireland and is responsible for the development and implementation of the strategy for mortgage loans, to include all aspects of mortgage markets, risk profile, returns, costs, fulfilment, servicing and market positioning.

Purpose of the Role

This opportunity will provide outstanding customer care and clear solutions to our existing mortgage customers.

Key Accountabilities

  • Provide a top quality service to our customers.
  • Demonstrate ability to put the customer first in every interaction.
  • Be driven by an instinctive motivation to deliver a top class performance in your role, demonstrating interest in continuously learning and developing.
  • Align with all internal and external regulatory requirements.
  • Prevent potential switchers, reducing out of course redemptions from the Banks existing mortgage book through strong retention conversations.
  • Identify business opportunities (movers, equity releases, home insurance) and refer to colleagues in other teams.

The opportunity is to work on a lively and innovative team and develop your mortgage knowledge!

You will be taking care of inbound and outbound telephone calls from our customers, supporting them in their queries. You'll be a key player in completing quality retention conversations and to us help identify new business opportunities.

Please note you must live in the jurisdiction for the business to which you are contracted.

Essential Qualifications

  • QFA is the preferred qualification however applications from individuals who hold APA Loans and Regulations will be accepted on the understanding, that, if successful at interview, they will commit to attaining QFA.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Strong customer service focus with the ability to build and maintain professional relationships.
  • Passion to adapt quickly in a fast paced, changing environment.
  • The required levels of competency are being achieved by you in line with role expectations.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills including communication both written and verbal.
  • Proficient in MS Office including MS Word and Excel.

Desirable Qualifications, Skills & Experience

  • 3rd level qualification desirable.
  • Experience in customer service, sales or frontline support role.
  • Financial services experience.
