Description of Business Unit

Marshall Leasing is a successful vehicle fleet funding and management company. At Number 23 in the FN 50 table, the Business has grown to a fleet size in excess of 9,250 vehicles through our sales driven and customer-focused approach as well as the broad range of products and services we offer to businesses in the provision of their company vehicle fleets.

As part of NIIB Group Ltd, trading as Northridge Finance which in turn is part of the Bank of Ireland (UK) plc, Marshall Leasing provide our customers with a consultative, personal and flexible approach, building on our relationships and trusted partnerships across the UK.

Purpose of the Role

The New Business & Marketing Manager, a new role within the Marshall Leasing Sales team, will be responsible for identifying, prospecting and opening new business contract hire and fleet management customer accounts. Relationships and communication are key to ensuring that Marshall Leasing can deliver the level of service and product knowledge that we have become renowned for in the industry. The role will allow you to build and nurture these relationships, working collaboratively with all areas and assist the wider Sales team in managing customer requirements as well as delivering the support, knowledge and insight to our customers as they transition their fleets to non-internal combustion engine vehicles.

This role will also involve the shaping and implementation of Marshall Leasing's marketing strategy.

Key Accountabilities

  • Developing new business contract hire and fleet management opportunities.
  • Developing new customer relationships to improve unit penetration and ancillary product uptake.
  • Provide pivotal link between the business and our customers, delivering communication and presentations at management level.
  • Achieve new business targets.
  • Developing and the improvement of Marshall Leasing's marketing strategy and its brand within the market through social media platforms, events and networking.
  • Assisting the Sales Director with strategic and operational marketing support.
  • Proactive and customer-led approach to problem solving and collaborating closely with teams across the business.
  • Proactive teammate to aid and promote the wider objectives of the Sales team.
  • Proactive assistance both internally and externally with Electric Vehicle (EV) product strategy and EV transition management.

Essential Qualifications

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Solid understanding of the UK contract hire and fleet management industry.
  • New business generation sales experience, the ability to communicate and present at all levels demonstrating excellent presentation, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to lead a Sales Territory effectively and achieve Sales Targets in an exciting and highly driven market.
  • Proficient in marketing with a particular skill in social media management.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications including Word, Excel and Powerpoint; knowledge of the Salesforce CRM system would be an advantage.
  • Ability to self-manage, involved with day-to-day business development issues/resolutions and delivering on expectations being a teammate with the ability to provide contributed to new customer relationships.
  • Self-motivated and target focused with the ability to work to exacting timelines.
  • Proven experience in relationship management and automotive funding solution.
  • A knowledge and understanding of commercial vehicle fleet operations.
  • Full, clean driving licence.

  • Experience of Electric Vehicle consultation.
  • Vehicle legislation and policy management.
  • Daily rental consultation.
  • Risk management.
