The Infrastructure Operations Team`s role is to "Enable the Service" through driving our partners in providing the Bank with the Technology required to run the business, securing the Customers and Banks data, improving stability and remaining current in order to provide a premier service.

The opportunity:

To work as a member of Technology Service`s Security Services team, liaising with other areas within TS andthe Bank`s service providers as part of BAU activity to plan, test, execute and verify as successful that IT Security vulnerabilities and Secure Configuration violations have been remediated and to ensure that overall numbers are reducing consistently and remain at a level that is consistent with the Bank`s risk appetite, taking account of Regulatory commitments and expectations.

Location: This role is based in the IT Centre, Cabinteely, D18.

Key Accountabilities:

Working closely with Group Information Security, other areas in TS and the Bank`s service provider(s) to:

  • Drive / participate in technical workshops to identify solutions to identified vulnerabilities and / or Secure Configuration violations
  • Provide appropriate technical analysis of, and action plans for Threat Intelligence provided by GIS
  • Plan and monitor BAU changes to remediate vulnerabilities / violations with the Bank`s service provision partner(s)
  • Provide technical support, guidance and expertise to support the delivery of the services provided by TS`s Security Services team
  • Contribute to improvement of vulnerability prioritisation in the Bank`s vulnerability management tooling
  • Produce MIS for Vulnerability Management and Secure Configuration - including fortnightly management reports, monthly KPI production and ad hoc requests
  • Contribute to improvement in area`s efficiency through automation

Essential Requirements:

Skills & Experience:

  • Recognised IT Security related qualification (e.g. CISSP, CISM, CEH, Security+)
  • Good knowledge of / qualification in Risk management processes and techniques
  • Proficiency with SQL Server / MS Access and MIS reporting tools
  • Good knowledge of Networking technologies
  • Expert knowledge of / qualifications relating to Wintel and Unix Operating Systems
  • Ability to act as a technology Influencer
  • Energy / tenacity, attention to detail
  • Superior interpersonal and communication skills
  • Background in Financial Services
  • Ability to deal effectively with varying levels of technical and organisational complexity
  • Ability to effectively prioritise workload in a dynamic environment
  • Flexibility in approach to working hours
  • Initiative and a self-starter

Education:

  • Leaving certificate - minimum of 5 passes (grade D or above) at Ordinary Level, which must includeEnglish and Maths, or equivalent or superseding qualification

Desirable Requirements:

  • 3rd level degree in a relevant discipline
