Description of business unit

Group Payments & BCM supports the delivery of the Group's strategic objectives by delivering customer facing services & solutions, across multiple customer segments, which enable customers, colleagues & communities to thrive.

The Cards Solutions team, operating from within the Payment & Cards Services function, are accountable for supporting both the Cards Product World and wider PCS teams, with system expertise and problem resolution for both Debit & Credit along with billing and invoice validation, the preparation completion and engagement with Finance and Senior Management/Stakeholders on annual budgets and the management of all reporting both internally and externally.

Purpose of the Role

You will work as part of the Cost and Efficiency team in coordinating and submitting a regulatory quarterly payment statistic return to Central Bank of Ireland as well as providing support and assistance to key business partners including Group Fraud/Regulatory Risk/Markets & Corporate and Retail.

You will also be responsible for engaging with Central Bank of Ireland on any queries they may have in relation to the submitted return.

This is a new reporting process and the successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring all regulatory reports are returned to the CBI in a timely and professional manner.

Key Accountabilities

  • Provide assistance and support to the wider Payment & Card Services team as well as other internal partners.
  • A point of contact for queries in relation to the return from Central Bank of Ireland and internal partners.
  • Ownership of the process - ensure that all returns are submitted in a time effective and controlled manner with no risk.
  • Analyse and review all submission from other partners.
  • Ensure all Card Solutions procedures & documentation are updated.

What is the opportunity?

Working as part of a collaborative and dynamic team, you will have the opportunity to lead a new statistic reporting process in Payment & Card Services .You will with work closely & support the Cost and Efficiency Manager and be the main point of contact for all payment statistic return queries and issues and will be the main BOI contact for CBI in relation to these. There will also be opportunities to learn other tasks and roles within the Cost & Efficiency team. You will interact and establish relationships both internally and externally through this Reporting process.

This job can be done anywhere in the Republic of Ireland with the primary office location as Dublin to which travel will be required for in person collaboration. Exact frequency to be agreed with manager.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Consistent track record of a proactive/flexible approach with the ability to work effectively with multiple priorities in parallel, meeting deadlines
  • Excellent relationship building, interpersonal and communication skills, both internally and externally
  • Self-starter, ability to utilise own initiative and a willingness to learn on the job
  • Strong analytical, (mediation) and problem resolution skills
  • Excellent Microsoft skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint

Desirable Qualifications, Skills & Experience

  • Previous Payment or Cards experience.
  • Previous engagement with external regulatory bodies
  • Risk Management.
