Purpose of the Role
We are currently looking for an expert Power Platform Developer to join the automation team within People Services. We are rapidly growing our team to support business needs and work on various scale projects within the division.
Description of business unit
- The Automation team are responsible for designing and developing E2E solutions using a wide variety of software available
- Ensuring all projects are done using standard methodologies and having the customer experience at the forefront of any decision making
- We collaborate with a wide range of collaborators across the division and wider
- We work closely together as a team to ensure all members of the team are equipped to support on any existing process developed
- We research new technologies and put these into practice
- We maintain, support and improve existing processes
Key Accountabilities
- Development of custom applications and solutions built into the existing or new environment particularly around Power Apps and Power Automate
- Research of new technologies relevant to Power Platform
- Governance of the Power Platform tools
- Writing supporting documentation
- Maintenance, support and enhancement of the existing application
- Participate as a member of an agile development project team

Crucial Qualifications
- Third level qualification in Computer Science/Engineering or a related subject area
Crucial Skills & Experience
- Development experience in the Microsoft Power Platform - Power Apps, Power Automate (including Power Automate for Desktop) Power Virtual Agent and Power BI
- Experience using SharePoint Online
- Understanding of Power Apps formulas and development methods, installing and configuring data gateways, Creation of various environments, DLP
- Experience in UX Design
- Experience in creating Entities, tables, relationships, fields
- Experience in Data, UI, Logic, Visualizations
- Experience on Microsoft 365
Desirable Qualifications, Skills & Experience
- Knowledge using web languages such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript
- Exposure to using cloud infrastructure and associated API's
- Utilise different testing methodologies, tools and techniques
- Task ownership and ability to work within deadlines / timelines and budgets
- Ability to write test plans, build test cases test data for SharePoint systems
- Optimally collaborates and communicates with the collaborators
- Highly motivated and able to work on own initiative
- Strong analytical skills and logical approach
- Experience in liaising with clients and participating in requirements capturing and design workshops.
- Analytical, logical and interpretive ability to interpret scenarios, and express concepts or models.
