The commercial management functions remit is to manage the Commercial performance of the cards and loans portfolios and deliver the commercial objectives of the annual operating plan.

The pricing and forecasting function is responsible for the monitoring of commercial performance and pricing new and existing products and offers.

Role Purpose

The role of Pricing and Forecasting Manager is an important position within the Commercial Management team. They will support the Senior Manager in the running of Cards and Loans Pricing function and will be responsible for supporting all elements of pricing including but not limited to pricing new and existing products, developing pricing and profitability models and managing profitability oversight and performance. In addition the role will support the planning and forecasting process and monitoring of business performance against the annual operating plan.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Senior Manager to manage the pricing framework
  • Develop and supports implementation of improvements to the pricing process
  • Supports with related formal committees (e.g. ALCO, Commercial forum)
  • Support Cards and Loans business Heads to price new and existing products
  • Working with key stakeholders to ensure all pricing inputs are accurate and up to date
  • Manage regulatory and compliance requirements relating to pricing
  • Support the development of the annual operating plan and provide core commercial inputs
  • Develop and maintain forecast models to allow accurate and robust tracking of business performance
  • Develop portfolio performance tracking at a granular vintage and product level
  • Support the performance governance framework and provide regular key insight
  • Presenting analysis to key stakeholders and senior management

Essential Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 GCSEs A-C grades including Maths and English or equivalent

Skills & Experience

  • Experienceof pricing and forecasting
  • High level of SQL/SAS - experience building and using large data sets
  • Financial Modelling
  • High level of Excel
  • Ability to use Tableau
  • Experience with documentation of frameworks / operating models
  • Proven ability to create and sustain positive relationshipsUnderstanding of compliance, regulatory and legislative environment in which products operate (eg Conduct Risk and TCF principles).
