We see a huge opportunity for growth, and are looking for a Savings Pricing expert to help achieve our ambitions.

The Savings business within BoI UK is fundamental to the business as the primary source of funding. One of the key responsibilities in the team is to ensure that there are sufficient balances to support lending, and that the balances are raised at an optimal cost.

This is a superb opportunity to join a unique challenger bank and play a key role within Savings UK to lead pricing strategy and competitor analysis to deliver balances and margin to plan. This role also involves managing one person.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsibility for optimization of pricing to deliver required Savings balances
  • Drive and implement tactical and strategic pricing decisions across all products to achieve balance and pricing targets.
  • Own creation of comprehensive pricing recommendations and formal proposals supported by detailed analytics and commercial impacts to the business to support Savings strategy, ensuring adherence to mandates and funding metrics.
  • Demonstrate a deep understanding of business financials and key levers, interpreting results and variances to plan.
  • Provide insight on competitor's broad strategy to help anticipate future market movements.Be the 'go-to' person for internal stakeholder and partners on all matters related to UK Savings market and competitors (products, pricing strategy)
  • Using commercial, competitor and market insight to spot trends and opportunities in the competitor and wider UK savings environment and suggest appropriate response
  • Collaborate closely with wider Savings team and UK Treasury to regularly reforecast balance position to support liquidity and capital management.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships across Partner teams and BOI UK Savings, Treasury & Finance

Essential Skills & Experience

  • An experienced Pricing professional, with experience gained in retail financial services / telecoms / energy market environment
  • Proven analytical and research skills, with the ability to interpret large volumes of data, and identify potential opportunities for efficiencies and improvements
  • Proven ability to build and develop strong working relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of compliance, regulatory and legislative environment in which products operate
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint. (SAS, SQL experience beneficial).
  • Previous line-management experience
  • Results oriented self-starter and strong team player, with the flexibility to operate effectively, under pressure in a dynamic business environment.
  • Minimum 5 GCSEs including Maths and English A-C grades or equivalent
  • Third level qualification in a quantitative or business related discipline desirable
