Description of business unit

Global Markets ("GM") is Ireland's leading treasury services provider. It is also responsible for managing the Interest Rate and Foreign Exchange exposures of the Group and for the optimal execution of the Group's Funding & Liquidity strategy in line with appropriate Group Policies and Procedures. GM provides wholesale pricing for a broad range of Retail, Corporate and Institutional customers across the spectrum of Treasury Risk Management Products and engages in proprietary trading opportunities in fixed interest, foreign exchange and derivative markets.

The Institutional Treasury Sales Team is responsible for providing a full range of treasury products and services to the bank's institutional customers. Our primary product offering is foreign exchange solutions. The team also manages the Customer Group's deposit book and is responsible for the creation, sale and back book management of Structured Investment Products.

Purpose of the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and experiencedindividual to join the Institutional Sales Team.

In particular the roleis required to servicethe FX requirements of our large portfolio of existing customerswith to view toexpanding our customer base and product offering.

The role involves thestructuring, pricing and hedgingof FX, interest rate derivative business generated by the Corporate and Institutional Treasury Solutions team and the wider Customer Group within GM.

Key Accountabilities

  • Manage and grow Treasury Sales opportunities from a large portfolio of sophisticated Institutional Customers.
  • Provide a professional and unrivalled service to our customers.
  • Inform and provide views to customers on factors influencing/impacting financial markets, offering product solutions that assist their management of Foreign exchange and Interest rate risk exposures.
  • Foster and develop strong working relationships with key business partners to maximise all cross sale opportunities.
  • Professionally represent Global Markets at the highest levels in the international marketplace with internal and external customers, financial institutions and regulators
  • Take a pro-active role in shaping the future direction of the wider customer business in BOI Global Markets.
  • Pro-actively assist with Business Development growth initiatives for the wider team
  • Strong understanding and experience of the digital offering and have the ability to sell this solution and on-board customers to FXPAY
  • Knowledge and understanding of our obligations under e.g MIFID II, compliance and regulation

  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of financial markets and an ability to influence the Customer
  • Established experience in the area of Foreign Exchange, Interest Rate and Derivatives.
  • A self-starter with a strong team focus who will challenge the status quo and bring high energy to the team.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, inter-personal and relationship building skills.
  • Understanding/experience of digital offerings with the ability to sell solutions and on-board.
  • Strong understanding and experience of the treasury regulatory environment.
  • Ability to positively impact and influence Senior Executives and Group colleagues.
  • Teach, coach and support more junior members of the team to adapt to new approaches, products and procedures
  • Ability to work within a team driven to achieve results, be accountable for building and delivering innovative solutions to meet customer changing needs
  • Develop relationships and collaborate with our stakeholders.
  • Have the necessary experience and demonstrate the ability to lead a project, initiative or committee.
