The Product Delivery team is responsible for how we deliver on the day to day requirements of the Commercial business, including the support of product development, the day to day management of existing product performance and supporting the Company's transformation agenda.

Purpose of the Role

The successful candidate will play a leading role in the delivery of a fast-paced transformation agenda and will be involved in a variety of analytical and development work.

The role reports to the Head of Commercial Delivery and leads a team of 10+.

Key Accountabilities

  • Manage successful delivery of product developments to support the success of the transformation agenda.
  • Manage, develop and lead a team of specialists, sharing product expertise and knowledge with internal and external colleagues.
  • The successful candidate will provide the team with direction and support for learning and development to empower personal ownership in executing their responsibilities.
  • Build, lead and motivate the team to ensure delivery of exceptional service, while pursuing innovation and efficiency improvements opportunities.
  • Provide a high level of leadership maximizing the performance of the team and department, ensuring high levels of staff and internal customer engagement exist.
  • Responsibility for the day to day management of existing product performance including Annual Benefit Statements(ABS). ABS are our key yearly communication with customers. Responsibility will include the management and oversight of this communication to customers, including membership of the ABS Committee.

The Product Delivery Manager will play a vital role in the deliveryof the Company's overall objective to be the financial services partner of choice for Irish customers.

Essential Qualifications

Ideally Qualified Actuary (or advanced in exams) with minimum 3-5 years' relevant experiencewithin Insurance or Financial Services

Essential Skills & Experience

Leadership : Developed people management skills. Optmising the talents of the team to ensure a culture of development, high performance and business excellence.

Commercial: A very strong commercial understanding of the Insurance and wealth market. Strong business acumen together withknowledge of the financial structure, operation and governance of insurance products.

Organisation skills: A structured and disciplined manager of plans and objectives.

Influence and Communication :Ability to communicate complex concepts to a wide range of groups. The ability influence key stakeholders in terms of strategic direction and not afraid to challenge the status quo.
