We are seeking talented Project Managers to work across a wide range of projects and programmes. The Bank's IT Dept., IT@BOI, are building an internal delivery capability and are actively recruiting for Project Managers who will work within the newly-formed Project Management Competency within IT@BOI.

Division Description

Group Manufacturing Division was established in January 2006, and is a key enabler for the development of the Group Operating Model, supporting our customers, strengthening capital, improving funding, rigorous management of our asset base and managing costs, with a particular focus on People, Customer, Finance and Risk priorities. Purpose of the Role

The Project Manager is responsible for the delivery of change projects, from initiation to closure, to meet defined business and technical objectives within agreed time, cost and quality standards.

Key Accountabilities

  • Set up and lead the project through its various stages, from Initiation to Closure
  • Build a team and actively foster a spirit of collaboration through the life cycle
  • Build and maintain productive relationships among the stakeholder community
  • Establish and maintain an appropriate project governance structure
  • Establish effective communication processes - who needs to know what?
  • Ensure an appropriate project management framework is in place, setting out the reporting, control and escalation mechanisms
  • Ensure project management approach is in line with the approved Bank standard methodology or approach
  • Manage the project budget on behalf of the Sponsor, monitoring and reporting the costs against the delivered and realised benefitsGiven the plannedlevel ofIT transformation, the successful candidates will also have the opportunity to bring their skills to help create and shape the new functions and ways-of-working into the future.

Essential Qualifications

  • 3rd-level degree or equivalent

Essential Experience

  • Proven track record in delivering complex, wide ranging projects in a timely manner
  • Strong knowledge of Financial Services
  • Indepth knowledge of project processes, software development cycle, Bank technical architecture, development, compliance, regulatory and implementation standards
  • Proven ability to engage with, and leverage, partners to deliver the project
  • Strong familiarity with quality management concepts and their application

Desirable Qualifications, Skills & Experience

  • Project Management qualification (PMP, PRINCE II)
  • Project Management certifications (Agile, Scrummaster etc)
  • c5+ years project delivery experience
