Purpose of the Role

The Project SupportOfficer will support the Project Manager in driving everything forward from planning to implementation, thus directly influencing the efficiency and cost-effectiveness of the project. The PSO will monitor project budgets,schedules and risks, and assist in the preparation of progress reports. The PSO will work across one-to-many projects depending on size and scale.

Key Responsibilities

Monitoring and Control

  • Ensurethe Banks standard project management framework is followed
  • Support PM in verifying project issues, risks, dependencies and change control within agreed processes to ensure delivery of project results within the agreed scope
  • Support PM in verifying maintenance of the project budget and monitoring and reporting of costs against the delivered and realised benefits
  • Provide the necessary reports on project quality to Delivery Support
  • Ensure that all project deliverables are to the appropriate levels of quality, on time and within budget, in accordance with the project plan and coherent with the overall project objectives and related business strategy
  • Support PM in ensuring appropriate project governance structure and effective communication processes

What is the opportunity

This role provides the opportunity to learn project management delivery methodologies and influence how change is delivered. Successful candidates may move towards a Project or Program management role.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Knowledge of project processes, software development cycle, Bank technical architecture, development, compliance, regulatory and implementation standards
  • Proven ability to engage with, and leverage, partners to deliver the project
  • Familiarity with quality management concepts and their application
  • Technical Skills

Essential Qualifications

  • Relevant third level qualification / certification
