The Retail Business Assurance Team is a 1st Line of Defence risk management support team. They are set up to provide day to day risk management support to Retail business units, assisting them to effectively implement risk management tools and processes in allow them make commercial decisions having fully considered the risks.

Purpose of the Role:

Reporting directly to the Quality Assurance Framework Manager, you will support the operation of the Frameworks across Distribution Channels andproviderisk management support for various teams in retail.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Work with the Quality Assurance Framework Manager to maintain and continuously improve the Quality Assurance Framework
  • Analyse trends in results of our sales quality measures and recommend processes improvements
  • Conduct monthly testing of key quality measures
  • Prepare MI packs for the Framework meetings
  • Provide training & support to specific retail units where needed, and support management in uplifting quality
  • Provide day to day risk management support to the Quality Assurance Manager to help the relevant business units to manage their risks effectively.
  • Develop effective and collaborative working relationships within the business units and the RBA team

Working with the Quality Assurance Framework Manager, you will have the opportunity to develop your Quality Assurance and risk management skills andwork with the various teams and senior management in RBA. Your support and feedback in the role will shape and influence how we support Retail tomitigate conduct risk and implement risk management tools and processes.

Essential Qualifications:

Relevant academic qualifications (level 8 degree or higher) an advantage

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
  • Strong problem solving skills and attention to detail
  • Strong communications and influencing skills
  • Excellent knowledge and experience of excel, power-point and word
  • Knowledge of Distribution channels processes & products

Desirable Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a Financial Services business environment an advantage
  • Experience of working in a QA role an advantage
  • Knowledge of risk management an advantage
  • Knowledge of Retail banking, processes, products, systems and strategy along with an appreciation of the key risks
