Who are We?

BCBS 239 is a multi-year regulatory mandated project to develop a single source data asset for Risk Reporting, encompassing all of the Group's top risks.

The programme sits in the Group Data & Analytics Office (GDAO) and its core objective is to achieve regulatory compliance for the Bank, across four key areas; Data Governance, Data Infrastructure, Risk Reporting Practices, Risk Data Aggregation.

What is the opportunity?

As Reporting Solution Lead Analyst, you will be part of the central programme tasked with the redevelopment of risk reporting within the group.

You will also be responsible for developing solutions, implementing best practice in the governance while utilising the single source data asset in order to simplify reporting and reduce end user computing in reporting processes.

The successful applicant will have the opportunity to help drive and develop reporting solutions to uplift risk data aggregation capabilities across the group and deliver value through improved data governance mechanisms. This role will be part of a newly formed team within BCBS 239 programme and will promote best practices in Risk Reporting across the group.

Key Accountabilities

Successful applicant will be responsible for working with key partners to:

  • Oversee the establishment of a remediation process to reduce the use of EUC's and manual adjustments through automation, system changes, data remediation and process redevelopment
  • Assist in the development and implementation of a triage process to analyse and document the root cause of Manual Adjustments and the use of each EUC
  • Support the establishment of best practice in governance and management of EUC's and Manual Adjustments

Who are You?

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Experience in a Finance or Risk Reporting Function
  • Willingness to learn and gain an understanding of the Groups reporting requirements, processes and outputs
  • Good communication, partner management and engagement skills
  • Innovative and solution oriented in pursuit of effective automation and streamlined processes

Desirable Qualifications, Skills & Experience

  • Experience in the redevelopment and/or automation of reporting processes
  • Experience using a centralised data platform to design reporting solutions
  • Risk and Compliance awareness
