The Retirement Hub is made up of four teams - two retirement claims and two post retirement (ARF & Annuities) and deal with everything Retirement. The role of our Retirement Hub teams is to look after our customers as they move into a new life stage. It is an area with lots of learning due to its technical nature and also has plenty of opportunities for progression and development within the department. Huge teamwork culture within each team& across the entire department.

Purpose of the Role:

Our Retirement Claim Hub Teamsensure we look after our customers at an important milestone in their lives through supplying them with their available options and settling their claims.

Key Accountabilities :

  • Providing customer with the right options for their policy as they approach retirement.
  • Processing their retirement claim on our systems.
  • Delivering excellent service to distribution channels helping us retain ARF & Annuity business in a competitive market.
  • New Business on boarding ofARF & Annuity policies that comes internally from Retirement Claims and externally from other Life Offices.
  • Servicing of both ARF & Annuity policies on our systems.
  • Ensuring tasks are completed within time scales that meet our customers' expectations.
  • Ability to work under pressure especially coming up to year end.
  • Dealing with customer queries effectively both over the phone and in writing.

What is the opportunity :

  • Work directly withcustomers, brokers,distribution and other departments in NewIreland Assurance by phone, email and sometimes face to face.
  • Gain excellentexperienceacrosssystems such as BLISS, L400, Compass and 3R along with increasing technical knowledge on pension's legislation.
  • Involvement in continuous improvement programs and putting forward your ideas to help make changes that matter for your team.

Essential Qualifications :

Minimum of 5 passes (minimum Grade D) in Ordinary Level Leaving Certificate subjects, including Maths and English, or equivalent or superseding qualification. Fetac level 5.

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Excellent customer focus with an understanding of customer needs.
  • Team player with the ability to take full ownership of work and responsibility for performance. Excellent customer focus with an understanding of customer needs.
  • Highly organised with the ability to resolve queries and make decisions.
  • Strong communication skills, written and verbal.

Desirable Qualifications, Skills & Experience:

  • Third Level Qualification or APA / QFA Qualification
  • Technical competence in relation to pension's legislation.
  • Knowledge of IT systems - BLISS, L400 or Compass
  • Knowledge of Retirements and Post Retirement Products - Annuity and ARFs
  • Understanding of Individual and Corporate Pension products
  • RPA qualification.
