Description of business unit

Our growing and exciting ERP team provides the engineering services for the Group's SAP S/4HANA. We deliver the ERP element to support Digital, Customer, Regulatory and other change initiatives that drive the Group's transformation agenda. We have adopted new ways of working such as scaled agile, DevOps and design thinking in a highly collaborative team environment.

Purpose of the Role

You will be responsible for the functional leadership for the implementation and subsequent improvements for Finance, ensuring that incoming change is 'engineering ready', that implementation and change configuration processes and tooling is appropriate and effective, and that the quality of the solutions delivered into operational support are fit for purpose and drive real value.

Key Accountabilities

  • The implementation of the technical and functional aspects of the S/4H Finance solution
  • Lead the planning, design, implementation, and ongoing change of the S/4H Finance solution, including the transition from the existing ECC environment
  • Managing and leading Third Parties who will be supporting the implementation
  • Ensuring that the implementation delivers the Product in a DevOps environment

This job can be done anywhere in ROI and the UK. The Banks primary office location is Dublin to which some travel will be required for in person collaboration. Exact frequency to be agreed with your line manager.

Essential Qualifications

  • BSc or MSc in Engineering & Computer Science or Finance or equivalent qualification

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both business and technical partners
  • Consistent track record designing and implementing S/4H Finance
  • Minimum: 5 years of S/4H GL experience and 1 x full S/4H GL system life-cycle implementation in a bank
  • Preferable: S/4H GL & FPSL integration experience
  • Knowledge of Banking industry and accounting business processes
  • S/4H Finance experience needs to include Designing, Implementing and Supporting:
  • GL & CoA
  • New Company Codes, Controlling Areas, Segments, Profit and Cost Centre structures to enable management and tax reporting
  • Financial and Management Accounting, Business Partners, AP, AR, Bank and Asset Accounting including Currency processing
  • Standard Reports
  • S/4H Dimensions versus Financial Product Sub Ledger Dimensions
  • WRICEF's in both ECC and S/4H
  • Functional and Integration Testing requirements
  • End User training and support
  • Basic knowledge of In App Extensibility and Fiori applications
  • Cut over experience
  • Great teammate, proactive, effective communicator with the ability to work independently and manage other development resources
  • Working experience in an Agile project environment with understanding of capacity management and user story preparation methods using tools such as Jira & Confluence
  • Experience with administering, monitoring, troubleshooting, analysing, and resolving technical problems arises from the technical development
  • Experience with Finance on HANA technical migration, Finance/4 HANA conversion is not crucial but would be an added advantage
  • Experience required with capturing and documenting non-functional requirements, interpreting non-technical requirements, defining the architecture, preparing estimates, and defining technical solutions to proposals
