This role is part of the Savings Product and Commercial team. The Savings Team is responsible for ensuring the required balances to support the Lending for the Bank and its Partners. The Savings Strategy hinges on meeting customer needs to bring in and retain the required Savings deposits at the optimum cost of funding.

Purpose of the Role

Reporting to the Senior Product Manager - AA Savings, this is a key role within the UK Deposits business.

The purpose of the role is to support the management of the savings portfolio, and the delivery of balances, NIM and product roadmap through a deep understanding of customer needs, attitudes and behaviours and market insight in order to deliver the savings business plan.

The role will drive developing and managing relationships with key marketing and product team members in partner organisations and BOI UK and influence all key commercial levers including marketing, product and service proposition, pricing, targets and performance measurement, customer communications, processes and experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Owns, maintains, develops and enhances product KPIs, dashboards and reporting to support forecasting
  • Monitors performance and recommends mitigating actions
  • Supports the SPM in product assumptions to ICAAP and LBV processes
  • Develops detailed analytics and cost/benefit/risk analysis for products managed
  • Collaborates with the Senior Pricing Manager to interpret competitor, market and economic analysis to put forward recommendations
  • Collaborates and partners with the Portfolio Management team to develop reporting and models to support business objectives
  • Identifies, validates and makes recommendations for product changes/launches/business cases
  • Embeds recommendations in a deep understanding of target audience needs, attitudes and behaviours
  • Ownership of the end-to-end product journey and operational processes
  • Works with the Senior Manager, CVM to instigate, analyse and interpret detailed customer analysis to drive recommendations
  • Collaborates with the service delivery team to ensure delivery and optimisation of all operational processes, systems, infrastructure and resources
  • Acts as the voice of the customer ensuring all activities are aligned to our Customer Charter and the partner brand values.
  • Develops strong and influential relationships with key stakeholders within partner organisations, BOI UK, supplier organisations, and across BOI Group.
  • Supports the key governance forums providing regular analysis, high quality commercial insights, and recommendations.
  • Collaborates with the Savings DP&C team to ensure all product change is in-line with proposition strategy
  • Provides clear, timely and accurate requirements to the DP&C team to enable the delivery of BAU change
  • Maintains a robust internal control framework that meets all regulatory and operational risk and compliance requirements across the value chain.

Skills & Experience

  • Ability to analyse, model and interpret complex data sets to develop accurate forecasts, recommendations, and conclusions.
  • Strong understanding of product management, and how marketing campaigns and strategy assist in the delivery of the business plans.
  • Demonstrable customer focus - putting the customer at the heart of strategy, proposition, process and initiative design.
  • Relationship management focussed with a collaborative style - strong ability to challenge constructively and influence a range of senior stakeholders.
  • Sound understanding of the regulatory environment.
