Reporting to the Principal Security Architect, the Security Architecture Manager will contribute to developing and maturing the security architecture framework and ensuring it is effectively embedded within the Group's change and delivery methods. The Security Architecture manager will also use their observations to drive continuous improvement, building proactive relationships across the group ensuring security by design is a valued driver for business enablement.
The security architecture manager will be responsible for the day to day management of the security architecture team.
The chosen individual will need to be technically proficient, highly organised and pragmatic.
This role spans both management and technical competencies.
Managing the demand pipeline into the team and be responsible for the engagements and work of a skilled team of security architects, who are working on the security architecture and design elements of a diverse range of change initiatives within the Group.
3rd level degree in a computing or other technical field, or equivalent experience. CISSP.
Network architecture, Cloud security architecture. Demonstrable experience in managing Security Architecture & Design agenda in large organisations, preferably within the financial services industry. 3+ years of management experience. Demonstrable ability in leading technical teams. Demonstrated competency in critical thinking and leadership. Ability to work in a dynamic, fast paced environment with limited direction and change oriented where the individual actively defines process improvements, champions and inspires change initiatives, confronts difficult circumstances in creative ways, balances multiple competing priorities and implements accordingly.
SANS or any other equivalent security certifications. Networking certifications (e.g. CCNA) would also be desirable but not crucial. CRISC, CISM, CCSP, CCSK. AWS Certified Solutions Architect (or Azure equivalent), SABSA SCF or TOGAF. Application Security - architecture, development, secure coding practices. Experience with software development methodologies such as waterfall, Agile, DevSecOps.
