The Security Response Team takes care of potential security incidents and urgent security issues for the Group, in an organised and consistent manner.

Purpose of the Role

You are encouraged to have a high level of technical proficiency in areas such as network and host forensics, malware analysis, and event analysis. You are also encouraged to provide technical expertise, mentorship, advice to other members of Group Information Security, and providing analysis and expertise to key partners, as and when required.

Key Accountabilities

  • Deliver Security response services to the Group at a high standard and in a manner consistent with team policy and other policies.
  • Be an escalation point for the GIS Monitoring team
  • Present lessons learned from security incidents to bank partners
  • Deliver 24x7 on call service
  • Understand the capability and capacity requirements vital to delivering Security Response Services to the Group
  • Identify any current or expected gaps and work with management to address these
  • Identify and assist in the evaluation and/or implementation of security tooling and other initiatives
  • Develop and maintain formal and informal relationships with key partners across the group.
  • Maintain Security Response policies and procedures, and align with other relevant policies as appropriate

This job can be done anywhere in ROI with the primary office location as Dublin to which travel will be required for in person collaboration. Exact frequency to be agreed with manager.

Essential Qualifications

  • Relevant University Degree, or equivalent experience
  • Security Qualifications such as GCIH, GCIA, GMON, GCED, CISSP, CEH, OSCP

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Experience in an IT Security Incident Response or Security Operations team
  • Firm grasp of IT security incident response processes
  • Good technical knowledge of IT Systems and Controls
  • Good knowledge of Host and Network Forensics
  • Proven knowledge of Malware analysis
  • Experience in SIEM technologies
  • Knowledge of technologies such as, IPS/IDS, AV, EDR, SOAR
  • Knowledge of scripting languages
  • Knowledge of Cloud Security issues and treatments

Desirable Qualifications, Skills & Experience

  • Self-starter requiring minimal direction
  • Demonstrable ability to analyse information to assess threat and risk
  • Demonstrable ability to make important decisions independently and multi-task under pressure, responding quickly to changing situations in complex environments without compromising quality
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience with analytical tools, crisis management, government agencies or law enforcement
