This senior channel role is an integral role for the UK Savings business as we enter further into a digital first distribution model - whereby enhancing our customer end to end online and digital journeys is critical to competing in a highly transactional market.

Purpose of the Role

The purpose of the role is to lead, in conjunction with partners, the management of all partner channels, developing relationships with key products, marketing and sales team individualswithin partner brandsto maximise the growth and long term value generated within the savings businessacross all critical partner channels.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develops and delivers against strategic and operating plans / budget for partner channels and businesses.
  • Takes ownership and responsibility for revenue levels and savings profitability
  • Monitors and reviews partner channel performance and delivers mitigating actions to maintain performance targets, including cost, income, fraud losses etc.
  • Monitors competitor propositions, pricing strategies and market movements, develops and executes appropriate response strategy
  • Works with the Product, Marketing and Sales teams to define appropriate performance targets and initiatives to improve performance / achieve goals
  • Develops deep understanding of the Partner Channel customer base
  • Instigate, analyse and interpret detailed customer analysis, market research and data insight
  • Accountable for ensuring design of products / customer journeys within each Channel are compliant with appropriate laws, regulations and other appropriate policies / rules.
  • Support with training, incentive development and generation of product belief within Branches.
  • Identify, lead and provide direction for the prioritisation and delivery of the appropriate change agenda for Channel saving propositions
  • Manage prioritisation process with key Partner stakeholders
  • Participates in Savings governance forums
  • Supports the key UK Savings governance processes
  • Develops strong and influential relationships with key stakeholders in partner and supplier organisations, and across BOI Group.
  • Maintains a robust internal control framework that meets all regulatory and operational risk and compliance requirements across the value chain.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • A seasoned Financial Services professional at management level leading the development of business plans, channel commercial plans, customer propositions and pricing strategies
  • Knowledge of Savings / deposits products would be beneficial.
  • Commercially astute with strong initiative delivery experience.
  • Strong customer orientation
  • Strong relationship management skills, demonstrated ability to work across a cross-functional team
  • Proven experience in project management with ability to develop business plans and execute effectively in a properly governed manner.
  • Ability to spot practical opportunities and create a compelling vision to win support for new ideas.
  • Collaborative style with strong ability to challenge constructively, influencing and persuading stakeholders and partners too.
  • Strong understanding of the regulatory environment.
  • Minimum 5 GCSEs A-C grades including Maths and English or equivalent
